About Ben

Ben Hazekamp is a Republican activist, community leader, and has been an active member of the Northern Virginia community for the past decade.

Originally from Janesville, WI, Ben moved to Woodbridge in 2013 to become the Director of the Boy Scouts of America in Prince William County. From that time on, he wasted no time getting involved in his new home. 

Ben has proven himself to be a strong leader who believes in the importance of public service. During his time in PWC, he has been involved in numerous nonprofits, including Leadership Prince William and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Center for the Arts (Now the Art Factory) and the Boy Scout’s Prince William District, and has served as Chairman for both the Keep Prince William Beautiful and the Lake Ridge Rotary Club. Ben is currently serving as the Assistant Governor for Rotary District 7610. 

In the Republican Party, Ben has served on the unit level as both Chair of the Prince William Young Republican Club as well as Chair of the Neabsco Magisterial District. He is currently the Vice Chair of the 11th CD Republican Committee, the 11th CD’s representative on the RPV Fundraising Committee, and also the National Committeeman for the Young Republican Federation of Virginia. Through his roles, he facilitated over 1 MILLION voter contacts during the 2021 election cycle and helped take back the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Ben, a financial advisor for the past four year, lives in Woodbridge with his wife Stephanie and their two cats, Gabby & Zeke. In his free time, Ben enjoys golfing, hiking in the beautiful Virginia State Parks and being around family and friends.
