Ben’s Vision

Through Ben’s experience serving in a variety of capacities, he has learned what works and what doesn’t. Summed up in three words, Ben’s Vision for the 7th Republican Committee is to Recruit, Train, and Elect. Recruit the right candidates, train our candidates to win, and put in the work to get them elected. 

Candidate recruitment is were the road to success begins. When we find the right candidates and that are both willing and able to launch effective campaigns, we strengthen our opportunity. Now recruitment does not mean put our hands on scale of any nomination process. What it does mean is finding good candidates to run and give all candidates access to our knowledge and resources so that the best candidates win.

Training is the next rung on the ladder to success. When Ben served on the 11th CD, training of new candidates was a crucial component of that committee’s activities. What we found was candidates that engaged the training were better prepared for their races and often found better outcomes. Going forward, the 7th committee will bring together regional resources and trainers to give our candidates the best tools and information to succeed.

As Chairman, Ben will establish a renewed focus on the grassroots to elect our candidates. Once the nominees are chosen, our mission is not over. Organizing events, speaking with voters, and fundraising must be the primary tenets of the Committee. By coming alongside our candidates and guiding them through the election process, we can provide them with the knowledge and resources to make sure our candidates can win.

At the end of the day, whether we win or lose is the ultimate metric of our success. Under Ben’s leadership, the 7th District CD will become a political powerhouse that produces strong candidates who are armed with the resources and knowledge to achieve victory.
